Michel BASSOMPIERRE, the animal sculptor who gives life to bronzes and marbles.

His bears, horses, elephants and other gorillas invade his workshop, galleries and collections around the whole world.

Seductive and endearing, his work has traveled the world, releasing his bestiary of marble and bronze to the four corners of the globe.

Michel BASSOMPIERRE  has been able to generate a powerful work testifying to an exceptional mastery of drawing, a perfect understanding of volumes, an approach to light where light never collides with shadow.

Michel BASSOMPIERRE gets rid of the anecdote to go to the essential: a pure form, delicate curves, an enveloping light which underlines the roundness of the masses from which emanate tenderness and poetry.
